Britain’s Got…Marawa the Amazing
Britain’s Got Amazing…Marawa that is!
The Saturday before last we were introduced to the spectacular Marawa the Amazing on Britain’s Got Talent, a glamorous circus performer with a disco flair brought right into the comfort of our living rooms!
Marawa spun her way into showbiz performing dance and tricks with hula-hoops to bedazzle and (we can’t deny it) amaze. The Hoff himself said you’re “The best I’ve ever seen” and we couldn’t agree more. Marawa’s performances have taken her to New York, San Francisco, Paris, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Denmark, Australia and our very own London.
Marawa’s a great performer, and she’s got style, attitude and a look that many a vintage girl would jump through hoops for. Performing in costumes from brilliant red, white and blue to leopard print leotards and, of course, some signature killer heels that make me green with envy and desperate to go out and find a pair of my own. You can see some of her costumes here on her website.
Marawa has stunned audiences with her brilliant, fun and unique performances at the Blackpool Showzam Festival and internationally with La Soiree, and performing as cabaret legend Josephine Baker in New York for the show Desire. The great news is she’ll be bringing the hoops back to London on May the 14th to give a guest workshop at the École de Pole, school of pole dance in Fulham and running classes on Saturdays at the school yard, Broadway Market (see flyer below).
Marawa’s talents as a circus performer mean she’s an act not to miss, giving performances with hula hoops, ropes, trapeze and even roller-skates, so keep your eyes on Britain’s Got Talent, because we’re in for a treat. Marawa the Amazing in her own words is ‘Conquering the World with Hoops’ (in heels!), and at Vintage Secret we can’t wait to tune in to Britain’s Got Talent to see Marawa bring her revolution (excuse the pun).
